During their occupation of Taiwan (1895-1945), the Japanese originally planted coffee on the Wuhe Terrace, where this tea comes from. After they left, the government evaluated the climate and the natural conditions of this area. They decided that it was very suitable for tea cultivation, so they started promoting tea farming here.

Our farmer, Mr. Liao is one of the 40 tea-growing families who now live here on the Terrace. He’s the second generation and only produces organic tea. Next to this Green tea, he produces Oolong and the famous Honey Black tea. For this last one, he even won the price of ‘Best Black Tea in the world’.
